Involve

Get involved in shaping mental health and social care in Lanarkshire by joining our quarterly members’ meetings or local issues groups to share experiences and influence services.

How Can You Get Involved?

Become a member of Lanarkshire Links, membership is free and is open to:

• People who use mental health services and their carers
• People who have used mental health services or have cared for someone who has used services
• Or you can join us as an associate member if you have an interest in the work of the organisation.

You will get a free copy of our quarterly magazine Mental Health Matters and meet with other service users and carers at our quarterly members meetings. Reasonable travel expenses are usually paid and if you have other expenses e.g. replacement care costs, child care provision etc. we can negotiate support.

Join your local joint integrated issues group to meet with others in your areas that have an interest in developing services. Benefit from opportunities for social inclusion.

Go along with an existing member to one of the many different committee meetings, groups or events to listen and learn more about involvement without making any commitment. Take advantage of the training and support we can source or provide for you.

We need your input to ensure that the best services are provided. You can help modernise adult mental health and social care services in Lanarkshire. We are here to support and empower you to communicate your views and identify how existing services can be more responsive to the needs of service users and their carers
