Lanarkshire Links is your local member led charity championing the voice of lived experience, representing the views of our members to health and social care to ensure that services you require reflects your needs.
We support you to engage when it is suitable to you and fits in with your personal life commitment’s. Our Mental Health and Wellbeing Groups in the localities provide peer support, focus on recovery, and provide a safe space to talk. Groups also incorporate the opportunity to receive a short complementary therapy and participate in activities, Quarterly members meetings featuring expert presentations by people from health social care and the voluntary sector allowing us to consult with members and capture their opinions and experiences.
We hear from those with lived experience, enabling members to stay current and engaged. Building mental health recover and resilience reduces reliance on crisis support and intensive mental health services by helping individuals cope better with stress, adapt to challenges, and recover more quickly from setbacks. It does not eliminate the need for services, but it shifts the balance toward prevention and early intervention rather than emergency care.
Lanarkshire Links is welcoming and inclusive. Individuals with mental health issues are often excluded from mainstream society and we actively challenge this exclusion.
